There is a Light: BRIGHTLIGHT (collaboration with Contact Young Company, directed by Adura Onashile)

Brian was the project director for this major collaboration between the BRIGHTLIGHT team (the world's largest study of young adult cancer) and Contact Young Company, interpreting a major research project with a cast made up of young people with and without cancer. Workshops, co-led by Brian and BRIGHTLIGHT Researchers (including oncologists, head nurses, patient advocates, research fellows) placed medical professionals in direct contact and collaboration with their patients and study's target demographic, ensuring research results were rigorously questioned, understood and creatively interpreted. This unique project, supported by Wellcome, toured to Manchester and Brighton (SICK Festival), the Royal College of Nurses Annual Research Conference (Oxford), National Cancer Research Institute's Annual Conference (Liverpool), Battersea Arts Centre (London), Chrysalis Festival (Edinburgh) and Find Your Sense of Tumour. A documentary is forthcoming.

Nominated for Manchester Theatre Awards' Youth Panel Prize, 2017.
